FREE Flu Vaccines for Enrolled Veterans at Eastern Kansas HCS
The seasonal flu vaccine is available now through March 31, 2019, at the Topeka VA Medical Center, Leavenworth VA Medical Center, and all Community Based Outpatient Clinics. Flu shots are available during scheduled visits and also on a walk-in basis during normal clinic hours in all Primary Care, Behavioral Health, and Specialty Clinics. Walgreens PharmacyThe VHA and Walgreens are national partners again this year, allowing enrolled Veterans to receive a free standard dose flu vaccine through March 31, 2019 at any Walgreens location.
EKHCS Dosing RecommendationsWhile no single formulation is preferred and recommendations vary, for the 2018-19 Flu Season, EKHCS is providing the FLUAD vaccine for persons age 65 and older. The quadrivalent (standard dose) will be available for all other patients.
