  1. Pre-Employment Physical and Fingerprinting Requirements
Federal law requires all candidates for employment at the VA to clear a pre-employment physical and pre-employment fingerprinting before their first day of work. Your HR Specialist will contact you to schedule an appointment for the physical with our Employee Health Service. As part of a pre-employment security requirement, you can get fingerprinted on the day of; or prior to, your scheduled pre-employment physical. No appointment is necessary for pre-employment fingerprinting.
  2. Required Forms to Complete

To open and print the checklist, select the link to the position you are being considered for from the drop-down menu below . The checklist will assist you with keeping track of your progress on completing the forms. You can access the forms by selecting each link on the checklist.
