Flu Season 2008/2009

VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System will host free flu shot clinics for enrolled veterans at its Medical Centers and Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Kansas and Missouri.
The Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas, will conduct a walk-in and drive-up flu shot clinic located in the north outpatient lobby of building one, starting October 13th through November 8th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Columbus Day and Saturdays, flu shots will be available from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m
The Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, Kansas, will also conduct a drive-up flu shot clinic in the old train station at the 4th Street entrance to the VA Medical Center starting October 14th through November 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Columbus Day and Saturdays through November 8th, flu shots will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Schwarzkopf room, main hospital building.
Please bring your VA ID card to receive your free flu shot. Stop in during any of these times or contact your primary care team to schedule an appointment to receive a free vaccine!

- At the Emporia CBOC on October 20th & 27th and November 3rd & 10th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- At the Ft Scott CBOC on October 22nd & 29th and November 5th & 12th, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- At the Garnett CBOC on October 22nd & 29th and November 5th & 12th, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- At the Chanute CBOC on October 24th & 31st and November 7th & 14th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- At the Lawrence CBOC on October 24th & 31st and November 7th & 14th, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- At the Junction City CBOC on October 24th & 31st and November 7th & 14th, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- At the Wyandotte CBOC on October 24th & 31st and November 7th & 14th, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- At the St Joseph CBOC on Saturday, November 1st, from 8am to 3pm, or call to schedule a time during normal business hours.
- Patients who receive care at the CBOCs in Holton and Seneca will need to contact their primary care provider to schedule a time during normal business hours.
If you receive your flu vaccine at any other location, please contact us at 1-800-574-8387, Extension 53348 and leave the date and location you received the vaccine at so we may update your medical record.
