Free seasonal flu vaccines are available now through March 31, 2018 for Veterans enrolled in the Eastern Kansas Health Care System. VA Walk-In Flu Shot OptionsFREE Flu vaccines are available during all open clinic hours at all Primary Care, Mental Health and specialty clinics at the Topeka VA Medical Center, Leavenworth VA Medical Center, and all Community Based Outpatient Clinics. No appointment is needed. Flu vaccines are available during scheduled visits and also on a walk-in basis.

Walgreens PharmacyAll Veterans who are enrolled in VA health care may walk into any Walgreens location nationwide to receive a free standard dose flu vaccine through March 31, 2018.
High Dose Vaccine – EKHCS Recommendations While recommendations vary, EKHCS recommends the high dose flu vaccine only for those age 85 and over. Walgreens offers only the free standard dose vaccine. If questions, please contact your provider. If you receive your flu vaccine at any non-VA location, please send a SECURE MESSAGE using My Health-E-Vet or CALL 1-800-574-8387, Ext 53348, and leave a message which includes your name, last 4 digits of SSN, and the date you received the vaccine so your medical record can be updated.
